About

The base of this idea comes from the flaws
in the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS)

Introducing CarbonThieves, where we are dedicated to shedding light on the shortcomings of the European Union Emissions Trading System (EU ETS). The EU ETS is a trading mechanism designed to regulate the emissions of the 11,000 largest companies operating in the EU. It imposes limits on their greenhouse gas emissions, and companies exceeding their allocated limits have the option to purchase additional allowances from those operating below their emission limits, creating a market for carbon emissions. The higher the price of these allowances, the more costly it becomes for companies to emit excessive greenhouse gases.

At CarbonThieves, we take a unique approach to address these issues. We acquire these emission allowances and symbolically render them useless by imprinting them on our hoodies. When you buy one of our hoodies, you are actively contributing to the elimination of 1000 kilograms of CO2 equivalent emission allowances. You can join us in our call to action to #withdrawTheCap or start participating in the movement to #WithdrawingTheCap.

While our hoodies are not currently produced from 100% sustainable organic materials, we are unwavering in our commitment to transforming into a fully eco-friendly apparel brand. We are conscientious about each stage of our production process, striving to minimize our environmental impact. Our primary objective is to raise awareness about the flaws in the EU ETS system, and we are delighted to have captured your attention.

Each of our hoodies effectively nullifies 1000 kilograms of CO2 emissions, resulting in a remarkable negative carbon footprint of approximately -995 kilograms per hoodie. We are presently experiencing an overwhelming influx of orders, and we kindly ask for your patience as we work diligently to fulfill all orders within a 4-5 week timeframe.

We deeply appreciate your support, and together, let's continue making a meaningful impact at CarbonThieves.
